I currently have one handgun and one long gun. I told myself I'd keep it simple by limiting myself to one of each, and further by sticking to 9mm so I could share ammo between the two.
When I was at the range recently, another gun caught my eye: the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite. They had one for rental with an orange barrel, and another one on display with a dark green barrel. Sure, someone could say it looks like a toy, but this thing looks so cool to me. It had retro and futuristic vibes, if that makes sense.
I don't think a 22 is ideal for home defense, and I'm not sure if ~$700 is worth it for a plinking gun. However, I do plan to rent one next time and at least satisfy my curiosity. Hopefully that's enough to scratch the itch. I don't need another gun.
