I just recently purchased a Ruger Mark III .22LR. I have been out of the shooting world for almost a decade and am looking for reliable manufacturers/suppliers for after market modifications. I am looking to upgrade my sights (black with black just does not work for me) and possibly putting a red dot scope on it from time to time. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.

I'm willing to bet that if you look in the Rimfire section of this Forum.... http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=32 you might find much more info regarding your MKIII. There are plenty of aftermarket accessories for the MKIII..... even if you just use Google search you will come up with plenty.

The most used internal parts upgrades are from Volquarsen and Power Custom and sights are available from numerous makers. A search through the Brownells' web site will overwhelm you with choices.
A red dot I use and like is the Bushnell TRS-25. The price is reasonable and the quality good.
The Rimfire Central web site (www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/ ) has a huge amount of info dedicated to the Ruger Mk I,II and III series pistols.

New they come with a scope rail....
