I want to purchase a m 77 300 win mag with an adjustable trigger. Can you advise me which models have or do not have this?
I am looking at a m 77 tang safety & a m77 Tanger / 1981 with tang safety.
Also a Mk II with the bolt safety, stainless bolt handle.

The earlier guns (tang safety) will have adjustable triggers, the Mk II will not. One other thing to check , if the safety locks the bolt then the trigger is very easily adjusted. Not all tang safety rifles locked the bolt when the safety is on. Those that don't lock the bolt can still be adjusted but the weight of pull has limited adjustment.

The tang safety Rugers had a screw in the trigger that was supposed to adjust the pull weight. It had very little effect on the weight of the trigger pull. About the only thing you could do was replace the spring with one of lighter tension. You could also replace the factory trigger with a Timney. I never did like the way the Timney operated the factory tang safety lever. I did not trust it. If you can find an old Canjar that is the best replacement in my opinion.
