I was having some issues as a lefty using the LC9. In particular the mags were falling out because of an oversensitive mag release and out of spec mags. Talked to ruger and they did the following tweaks for me.
-they gave the whole gun the once over - all ok
-Shaved down the mag release button (just a few millimeters) and re-blued it
-Stiffened up the mag release spring so now it feels much more like an SpringField XD. Before the mod if you even brushed against it the mag would fall out. As a lefty this happened every shot causing jams.
-Examine my mags finding that two of the mags that came with the gun were manufactured out of spec. they were too narrow at the mag catch. These mags could actually be wiggled out of the gun without pressing the mag release.
Got her back and she works with no more mag release problem. 1000% better as far as I'm concerned. I did add a pachmair grip glove as well. I need to mess with the sights a bit but other than that it rocks. Before I had to put my little finger under the mag to keep it in and couldn't get off more than 1 or 2 shots before a jam. Now I just ran 144 shots through it and didn't have a single jam or mag issue.
