Ruger GSR Mag Release

I have a Ruger Mini 14 on which I've switched out the factory mag release, much easier to use. I also have a Ruger GSR and the mag release on it looks the same as the Ruger factory - which makes me think the same aftermarket Mini 14 release will also work on the GSR. Does anyone know for certain?

I know I could do a switch out & check for fit - actually, I know I don't exactly "need" the part at all, but I figure it's just a slightly neat add on that doesn't cost too much.

In the limited use I've had so far, the GSR release seems to be more satisfactory than the mini or the 10/22....although they seem quite similar.

More use may change my mind.

They look very similar, but are different enough to cause problems.

Some early GSR's were assembled with mini14 releases by accident, causing feed problems IIRC, as the magazine won't locate properly.
