just wanted to say im pretty happy with ruger . i have a super blackhawk i bought off my neighbor a while back it had a scope when i bought it i decided to take it off and change back to original open sights . anyhow long story short i went to take it to range 1 day a month or so ago and i noticed the rear sight blade was broken and half missing (i have no idea how i managed that) . so i went on midway to order another and of coarse it was on back order supposed to be in jan 21 so i patiently waited, jan 21 came and went no sight blade, now on back order till may . so last week i decided to call ruger customer service told the woman what i needed had my credit card in my hand and to my supprise she says i can get that out to you free of charge . i certainly wasn't expecting free i had the part in a week free of charge put it on today and hopfully(weather permitting) will go shoot it in this weekend . :D

Sandman ,

Almost same story , rear sight blade broke........called Ruger , fully expecting to pay , told me they'd get one out to me. Don't remember exactly ..but a few days later got it in the mail. Another example.....a few months back, got a Bisley 45C from the classifieds ( new ) , worked up some loads , etc. Was having trouble seeing front blade , figured I could replace rear blade with a "white outline " ...maybe it would help. Again called Ruger , talked to a very nice gentleman.....a shooter/handgunner too...explained my problem with the eyes.....he found a rear outlined blade that he "thought" would fit. I asked him if he was ready to copy my card number....no , he didn't want it , he'd send it to me free of charge. AND thats why I continue to buy Ruger. I own 13 handguns , only 4 of those are not Rugers.

YES !!! A story often repeated. Ruger gives great service.

I ordered 4 grip medallions ,for some grips I made, and after speaking to the lady and hanging up the phone, I realized that she had not ask me for my card number. My wife said they probably have it on file from previous orders.
A few days later, here comes a package from Ruger with 4 medallions and at no charge.

Love Rugers service!!!

Several years ago I got a Super Blackhawk in a trade that had a split cylinder. I sold it to a friend as-is and he sent it back to Ruger - they fixed it for free

Dang, what would they do in restoration on my newly aquired OMSS (besides conversion <would they send the original parts back?>) if I sent it in? Would I get the base pin replaced because it's already polished? New ERH because it's worn? New barrel because of very very minor pitting?

If it weren't for the safety crap I'd send it in and see....even if I had to pay something.

gasguzzler ....does make ya wonder , doesn't it. I have heard .... that Ruger is a bit picky on "non-stock" products in or on there firearms. An example , a friend had sent a handgun back for a repair of some sorts. He got his gun back minus the spring kit that had been installed....(believe he got the kit in a bag along with the gun). That being said.......still outstanding service , lest in my opinion.

I am another happy Ruger CS person....they replaced the "weak" firing pin springs and firing pins in my 28ga. Red Label about 3 years ago...only had the gun 2 weeks....got it back in great shape...no problems since. My 6 month old SBH had the front sight blade cocked to the right....same deal...paid for shipping both directions, had it ten days....replaced barrel, all good to go. Super service from a super company!
