Hi, wonder if anybody could answer a question: What color would the box be for a 1978 vintage new model Blackhawk? I'm try to find one and would like to be sure I get it right. Thanks

I’m pretty sure it would be the solid red 1 piece with flap lid with the white eagle emblem on top of box. I think within a year or two after it changed to the black and yellow box.

JCW64 is correct. The "flimsey" reddish/orange looking one piece box is correct for your gun.

Hi, thanks for the offer to look for a box among your hidden treasures, but I found one. Gun broker had one listed, right color, right gun. bought it for the opening bid. $25. Looks like it's in very good shape.
