'Morning all - new to this particular forum. Just traded last evening for a Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag which came with the 9mm cylinder. I'll shoot it this evening. Anyway, while examining it last evening got to wondering, if it will shoot 9mm is there a way to get a .380 ACP cylinder for it as well? Would just be a cool addition to the mix.

I enjoy all my Rugers - M77/22, 10/22 mag, P95, Security Six, 22/45 and now a Blackhawk.

Greetings and welcome to the Forum, the answer to your question is "no", as the 9mm 'headspaces' on the mouth of the case, YES< you can modify a cylinder to have it accept and use half or full moon clips to "capture" the rimmed end of the case, need to talk with a machinsit/gunsmith to make the adaption, but then you 'lose' the originasl way the 9mm works.......
have fun and enjoy it, good all around, and cheap way to get 'practice'.....

Yes, there is. Have a new cylinder bored for 380. No moon clips necessary. Works just like the 40 and 10mm cylinders that don't use clips. You wouldn't lose any functionality of the 9mm cylinder.

Understand the barrel of your convertible is a .357". The 9x19mm is .355". So will be the 9mm Kurtz cylinder. If you are going for the expense of a custom cylinder why not a good used gun with a proper barrel. Then you would not worry about the angle of the forcing cone.
