Hello from Texas, do any members on this forum have any idea where I can purchase a Stainless Ruger Birds Head Grip Frame. I want to switch out frames on my single six.
Midway is out of stock and Ruger does not have any in there inventory. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This is the only Fram I am familiar with:

Be SURE to log in to MidwayUSA's site, and click the "Notify Me" button!

You never know when stuff might come in stock (and sell out, just as fast).

I've gotten all kinds of stuff that way, from gun parts to primers (during "shortages," no less!).

Have your mind made up ahead of time whether you will pay their price, and when you get an in-stock email notification… BUY RIGHT AWAY!

With all the youngsters out there glued to their phone, you have to be QUICK! 👍

I've spoke with Midway and they do not know when they will receive any of these frames, same answer from Ruger. Ruger still shows Birdshead Vaqueros on ther website, so they still have a source.

/\/\/\ what he said.

RW grip frame in aluminum on a single six would be the ultimate IMO.

Stainless gun,,, I would even send it and get it Cerakoted, color ?,,, hmmmm,,, lots of choices.

Yea I know your butt is puckered at the price, BUY ONCE, CRY ONCE.
The quality of RW Gripframe is second to none you won't believe how accurate the part is?
I know your time is not worth much, but little to no frustration,,, what's that worth?

I know it's not aluminum, or a Birdshead, it is Brass, Keith #5, on a 327 Single Seven 327M….🙄

A pic showing the frame fit, and starting to shape the grips.
FWIW: Ronnie will even CNC some black Mikarta grips, just needing a little bit of hand work to fit / finish.

Ruger makes them. Their total single action production is approximately 2% of their firearm every year. Of that, how many are birdshead? Of course, the person answering the phone won’t know when or how many are made. I just got two Montado hammers from Midway. Because I was on their waitlist.
Be patient but be diligent. Get on the list. Also, over on the SASS wire they come up for sale from time to time.
