How about some pics of Ruger Bearcats.

I found this one on the local classified section.
I think for $250 I got a good deal.
This little thing is fun to shoot.
My wife likes it too.
I hope to give it to my son when he's a little older.
Now I'm looking for a stainless one.

Nice pics! Very nice Bearcat for an unbelievable price!

I'll put all my eggs in one basket. A 2004 vintage pic.......

Geeez, no wonder I never see these revolvers anywhere... they are all sitting in you guy's safes. I have to admit that I would never sell mine... too much fun. I would like to get one in stainless in future.

I don't have the serial number with me but it was made in 1963... year I was born. It still has the old hammer/trigger mechnism and I'm going to keep them in.

Serial looks like 256??. Low number and a nice looking gun, you got a great buy. I've got two stainless ones, would be the last guns I'd ever give up.

If you get a stainless one, consider EWK Arms' stainless steel ejector rod housing. Changing to them made my Bearcats perfect. The owner, Eric, is a RF member. Great work and he treats you right.

Yes, 256XX so 1963 :D
I've been reading a lot of post about Bearcats here and learned about replacing the factory aluminum ejector rod housing with SS one. I'll be sure to order one when I get the SS Bearcat.

I picked up a "Slim Jim" style holster for it last week and it carrys very nicely.

I think I've caught the Bearcat bug

Nothing against EWK but the housing you see on my stainless, pictured above, is the OEM aluminum one hand polished. All it cost me was a little time and some 'elbow grease'.

Here is one that has been for sale FOREVER. http://www.gunsamerica.com/952613907/Guns/Pistols/Ruger-Single-Action-Revolvers/Single-Six-Type/RUGER_BEARCAT_22_LR_REVOLVER.htm Might want to make him an offer. I contacted him, quite so time ago, with a lower offer for it and he feels that he would lose money selling it at a lower price. He may have changed his mind by now.

This is an older pic of the wifes collection. There's more now, but she lets me buy shoes (lol).

Man, I am jealous!

I don't think I have ever seen a used Bearcat in a gun or pawn shop. I guess people who have them keep them.

I've only seen one used one, an OM, at a gun show. Three blued and two stainless new, besides my own. The two stainless were "just unpacked, won't be here long". The blued ones don't go so fast. One has been at a LGS for three months.

Mine would be the last guns I'd part with.

I've purchased several of my Bearcats at gun shows, gun shops, at gunpoint from friends collections.......... :D

33 in the safe in their boxes. One out on a display board....

PS the Bearcat collector needs the Ruger Shot Glass, embossed with the Bearcat grip medallion die. It's my Avatar Image.

I got my 'alphabet' (top one in my photo) at a gun show for $325.00. That day there were three of them at the show. I have never seen another one anywhere since.

This guns accuracy always amazes me. My son (27 years) and I went out shooting for his bithday last Sat. and took it along with six other guns but it still consumed a great deal of our time. Lots of fun.

EWK ejector rod cover on mine, Wolff Spring, and a lot of time on the buffing wheel.....

I'm debating on adding a set of Sack Peterson Stag grips next.

I hear many speak of the 'amazing' accuracy of the Bearcat but I find them to be the most inaccurate revolvers I own. Using a rest and firing at 50 ft all of them seem to shoot high and right. Using the same rest, the same distance, and the same hold I can put all six in the bull with my single sixes.

You guys are killing me!

The Bearcat has been on my list for a long time, I will own one!

The cool factor on the cat is completely off the chart!

jpdesign....I like that "rounded" butt on Bearcat. Am I correct from picture that it is rounded? Rarely post as I have non-traditional......Clements' adj. sight Bearcat, Sack Petesron grips....
Sacrilege.....but, they don't know..
