Ruger American .308 - bolt release pin issues

I know I saw addressed on here before, just can't locate it.

Does anyone have specific instructions for the fix for the bolt release pin on the Ruger American?

the pin seem to be falling out. Don't know if the pin is too thin, short, or if something is broken.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No experience with the Ruger American. But a moving pin is an easy fix. In order of difficulty.First thing to try would be a little blue loctite. If that does not work putting a slight bend in the pin and reinstalling is an option. Finally just make a new pin out of drill rod that is closer to the size of the hole.
