Ruger 77/357 Front sight

I'm wanting to replace my factory front sight, but I want to know what is the height of the factory front sight?

OK, this may sound dumb or sarcastic, but why don't you measure it?

Sure, but do I measure from the bottom of the dove tail or start from the barrel ? I'm guessing bottom of the dovetail but making sure. Thanks.

OK, now we got an idea. Measure the sight from the bottom of the dovetail.
