After weeks of waiting I finally got both the rifle and stock. I was afraid the magazine box was going to be a pain to fit. It took longer to get the Dremel out than it did to cleanup the magazine box area cleaned up so it would fit. The sides coming up to the corners had to be cleaned up flush with the aluminum bedding block.

Now I have to save some pennies for a new scope and rings. I took the scope from my 10/22.

Not a big fan of the rear sight :? I think Ruger should have spent the few extra bucks and put the Alaskan style sight on it!

I do have a question. Did Ruger discontinue the RCMs in stainless with the sights and short barrels?

I had one of the Alaskan in 375 Ruger. It was the blackened supposedly stainless steel model. But I didn't like the finish and let it go. I have to admit it was the most accurate 375 I have had!

This is real close to the same feel. Now that it has the Hogue stock the barrel being a little slimmer profile and rear sight are the only differences.

I hope this one shoots like the Alaskan did. Have to let the snow melt a little more before I can get to the public shooting range.
