I see newer Rugers come with a Weaver style rail with notches cut into it for the scope rings. Mine is just a smooth rail. The rings I have aren't quite wide enough, and i have to back out the nut on the ring mount, so it's not flush with the side of the rail. What size rings do i need (width, not height), or would the newer rail solve this?

I figured. I just ordered one from Midway, along with a new 25 round factory mag. Hadn't fired the rifle in years and forgot how fun it was to rip off at a Shoot and See at 40 yards and watch it shred. Even used the cheap Ram Line mags, and they worked for the most part.

Also took the Tasco scope that was on it off and put a Nikon Pro-Staff that I had laying around. Looks much clearer in there. Can't wait to shoot i again. With ammo being so expensive nowadays, the .22 is gonna be my primary range toy.
