Any one out there know what year/serial number Ruger did away with the pinned extractor?? I had one I bought new in 1986 that had the roll pin but dont know how long the gun sat in the shop before I got it. Looking to find another one but not sure exactly what to ask for if it's not easy to see the pin in the gun. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

A 10/22 with pinned extractor?
You got a pic?
I got 7 dating from 1972 to 2008 all with the same extractor.

Sorry, dont have a picture. Back in 1985 I had one I bought new in the box from a local gunshop. I used it almost every night coonhunting up until several years ago when I stopped. I gave it to one of my nephews who sold it later. I cant remember why I had to take the bolt apart, I think the extractor cracked sometime after I bought it. I remember {maybe I am dreaming here} there was an issue getting the extractor because it had a roll pin to retain it. I want to buy another one to shoot. A local guy has one but he says "it needs fixed, the extractor keeps flying out when I shoot it." I would rather not have that...they made 'em by the millions, there has to be an older one out there I can buy. Of course if I am mistaken then I guess not. Thanks for the info.

The firing pin has a roll pin but not the extractor
