Saw a Ruger 10-22 Classic rifle the other day at LGS and I have never seen this rifle before.
It was blued and had a straight grip walnut stock with Schnabel end. Is this rifle currently in
production ? Thinking about buying it. It felt good and was different from my other 10-22 rifles
Any info would be appreciated. BTW, I did not see it listed on the Ruger website.

All the "Classics" were special runs for distributors. Three of which I believe were done with the straight gripped stock. The initial one, from Talo, was a walnut stock with oak leaf engraving. The other was a Lipsey's one with the third being another Talo one. All are pit of production.

When did they go out of production ?
Any idea as to current value ?
Do they or should they be selling at a premium ?
How many were produced ?

They are not "instant collectibles" if that's what you're asking. Unique but not valued at more than a fair notch above a standard carbine.
A LGS had a couple here ANIB for under $370. I prefer the full-stocked distributor specials but even those are still around for under $400 when you find them.

Remember Ruger's "distributor exclusives" are often blems set aside for a "custom" feature (like a specialty stock) to be added to batch to be sold to a large distributor. It is common to see non-sequential s/n runs as the batches are put together.
