I just put this stock on my #1 300 win mag, I like the look. I think this will be my main hunting rifle, It also sports my custom T&D weaver scope mount.
Ruger #1 synthetic.

I'll find out tomorrow. With the wood stock, the recoil is very smooth, very manageable. I shot it back to back with my 308(plastic recoil pad) Parker Hale, and I'd much rather shoot the #1 300 win mag or 375 H&H mag

I must admit it will work well in the woods but I prefer wood on #1's.

OK, the stock is a Bell $ Carlson, bought here from a member, and I really like the look and the function. My original stock is high quality, with nice figure, and I love a #1 in wood. However, hunting in the woods, climbing trees, etc will result in some scars that have their good and bad points. I really bought it in case i get a gun with a really beat up stock, I'll have something to use while I either refinish the existing wood or replace it.
As far as recoil, I notice no difference, and accuracy was the same.
