IMHO, it's already "over priced". It suffers "screwdriver" damage and quite a bit of wear. The plastic grips ain't worth much and the proper XR3-RED walnuts are $50 and up.......

Yeah, and I kinda balk at the "rare" description, as well.
True, it's an early "post '62" gun, with a set of period plastic stags and the always-interesting retrofit Micros. For those interested in such unique features it's a thing to appreciate, and I can understand that.
But the price is out of line considering the condition, IMHO.

I found it interesting that this particular auction from this dealer hand a reserve on it. I watch a lot of his auctions as I am in the same state. About 99% of his guns are priced at what he is willing to sell for. He's about 100 miles across state or I'd go and inquire.

Well it'll letter I think: Records dept said it's an RSS5W, shipped Feb 1963. The SN is 355224 which may be a new high SN for Chad's reference.

That first bid "Mistyfauna" was me. That is the first gun I have seen with MICRO on front and rear sites.
I do not remember seeing any of americal's guns having front site so marked.
Have I just been missing things or is that front site marking rare?
