Rock Island boxed 10" .44 flattop

Curious if somebody here might have won the bid on the 10" .44 flattop with box and stags at Rock Island.
Real curious to see a letter on that as 29334, if it letters, would be the first known "cleanup" BKH-40 up to now, the highest block of 10" .44's ran to about 24060.

gosh that sounds like the one we sold to our late friend Bill E ( appleman) here on the forum, never did hear or find out where it went ,when it went to Rock Island with the rest of his stuff when he passed,,,his family did not even remember the gun..:unsure::confused:

I thought maybe I'd heard of that one before, but not sure if it is the same gun that you are speaking of or not.
It does have a 10" box with it, I presume it says BKH40 on the end. Not an impossible thing to find, but not sure if that box matched the gun or not. And there are/were 2 or 3 10" flattop barrels floating around over the decades. So not sure if this one will letter or not.

yes, I sold the one boxed and stag grips to Bill and the following year or two later I got that other 10 inch box out at Tulsa when I outbid JD on the boxes that Jamell was selling,, that was still a good one, and yes BIll got that 10 inch box as well he did drive up out to Tulsa that year...wish I had bought some of those Hawkeyes that were sold right off the display back then too, I turned down a few low numbered guns,,,,oh well till have my 2 digit...........:unsure:;)(y)

Let us know if you are able to verify if that is the gun. Would explain the 10" box.
