Shop has a 5 digit Blackhawk flattop very nice condition, but it's been converted. Value?

As noted above the parts to restore it,, are usually $150-$175 or so. Depending upon getting the proper vintage parts. I deduct at least $175 from any value.
And as for condition,, that's a big thing. I'd double check for a reblue.
Barrel length,, common is 6-1/2". More uncommon the 7-1/2". The rarest & most expensive,, the 10" ones.

So you know and won't share the answer? I think it is some 750'ish 7-1/2"s and 1200-1500 10"s...just can not remember and didn't want to walk up to the shop to look., it's kind of soggy here right now, Thanks.

Can't stand converted guns they just don't sound right when you cock them! I would say -$500 or more but very biased! Only new model I think I own is a Maximum. I like my old model guns.

K2Ruger,, you are a bit behind the times as to values. Even if it's been converted,, and in the common 6-1/2" bbl length,, AND reblued, it's worth more than $500.

You are 100% correct I am behind the times been out of the week to week shooting and involvement for many years. I was really saying though that I would deduct $500 off the value of the gun for going through a "conversion". I know I am weird but I just like the way the old model revolvers sound when you cock them each time. What I grew up hearing a gun should sound like! Have a great day appreciate all the great information here. Appreciate all the great information. Gets my blood hot to do a little shooting.

Ruger did not normally reblue revolvers sent in for the conversion. If it is a 6 1/2 in 95 percent condition or so, I would think the value would be around 600 bucks.

nrobe,, the RENE guide lists a gun of that model & condition at about $900. A set of conversion parts runs $150-$200. So,, that still puts the gun at $700 or more.

K2Ruger,, deducting $500 for the conversion parts is a wee bit much. I understand your feelings,, as I too totally prefer the OM action design.

They all still shoot the same converted or not. Hated the new models as much I hated all the dang warning info on the barrels! Thanks for keeping me straight I need it.
