Well Guys,

This is mainly for the ROA guys that don't know what load to use. Well OK also for the doubters that a CAS Guy can't shoot Bulls-eye. Well OK I'm not very good shooting one handed both left and right handed.

Since I just had the ROAs barrels cut down to 5 1/2". I thought I had better take them to the range and see what they do. Since I have some major matches to go to in the next month. Well I'm very satisfied with the results. Now ya got to remember these were kinda slow shots with the front sight in the grove standing one handed. Well I don't shot that way in CAS. Ya want the front sight to be a little high so you can see the target. Very seldom do I look at the rear sight.

So they are shooting a little low. Perfect.

I'm using 20 Gr. 3F goex, 147Gr. ball Rem #10 cap no filler no lube. I did shoot a 40 Gr load that was compressed and it only raised the POA about 1" This is the first time I have done a chrono and on paper. Never cared what the vel. was just as long as they went clang. A Pard brought his chrno to the range so what the hell.

Also did my 3 screw OM 357 Blackhawks with 4.0 700X 125 out of a 51/2" avg 867.

1873 357 Rifle 6.0 700X 125 1423 avg. With a case full of Triple 7 avg 1367
Perfect, sights don't need to be changed from BP to Smokeless :D

So not all CAS guys shoot Mouse fart loads.
Thats just the way it is

Well just a little info for you. If you have the right size ball/bullet in can not chain fire, Most if not all chain fires come fom caps that don't fit.
There is a hell of a lot more fire and stuff going on at the rear of the cylinder than you think.
Buy the way I'm not the only one that does it this way.
Yea you are correct if the ball doesn't fit don't shoot it. It should cut a ring, not always but most of the time. The lube does keep the fouling softer , but a little Windex takes care of that problem.
Thanks for the compliment.

Hey Guys,
Yesterday I checked the throats on the OAs well guess what?
The gun shot left handed in the picture a .452 jacketed bullet fits nice in all the cylinder bores avg. vel. 698
The other gun bullet would not go in any of the bores. Don't know if that is why the shots are all over and less vel. or not. Most of the time I shoot better right than left handed
Anyway it is what it is. Thay are good enough for CAS
