I bought 9 1/2 Single Six that had been "rode hard and put away wet". I decided that since it was in such bad shape already, to make it a project. I have had it stripped, engraved, reblued, and am working on custom grips. The problem is the alloy grip frame and the ejector rod housing. They are anodized alloy, can't be blued, and my gunsmith doesn't think he can buff them to a satin alloy finish. I'm not really interested in sending them someplace to be re-anodized. One guy recommended low pressure bead blasting. Any suggestions?
