New member here so I hope I have the right forum. Picked up the new mark IV which I absolutely love, extremely accurate right out of the box. My problem is inability to see the front sight on the black dot in the indoor range. Is there a general recommendation on the front sight replacement, either painted or with a fiber optic and a recommended source for that sight ? Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

replace it with a screw on "ramp" style sight and color the ramp ,about ANY color that your eyes may like and can see, you can also replace it with one of the Hi Viz screw on front sights with the different color 'tube' ( fiber optics?)
as for the paint, any finger nial polish or Testers model paints will do the job, and you can change the color ANY time your heart desires 8)

Nail polish or Tester's model paint are both available in a huge range of colors you can experiment to your heart's content at low cost. ShopRuger sells the HiViz Fiber Optic front sights made for the MK II,III or IV with the 5-1/2" bull barrel and they install with one screw. I'm a real fan of the fiber optics.

Yes, may get the HiViz front. Its also interchangeable with Browning Buckmark front sight replacement which I do have experience with. Will fit either Browning or Ruger with bull barrel but i think the screws may be different. HiViz folks assured me will fit either gun.

BTW, Dawson Precision sells a fiber optic replacement front sight for the bull barrel Rugers in a variety of widths and heights so you can customize your POI if you wish.
