I was eating breakfast at a local restaurant this morning and they had a techno-beat drum going with Bing Crosby doing "White Christmas". Not good at all. Some things just should not be messed with. I like the reworked music usually but not with a classic vocal like this.

Ok, my rant is over...

Merry Christmas!! Remember the real thing to celebrate - the birth of Jesus Christ.

We prefer the classic Christmas music that we all grew up with. I made it a point to be a real pain in the backside at Dish Network one season when they decided to not have the older beloved Christmas music. They have not made that mistake again.

I am also a vinyl record fanatic. I have a good selection of the Goodyear, Firestone, Christmas by the Fireside editions of music with all the great artists. I also have a number of the big choirs signing.

Yeah, I like listening to the Bing Christmas radio shows.

I share your angst. There are things that are sacred and shouldn't be messed with.

I picked up a used CD of Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" at the local Habitat for Humanity thrift store for 50 cents, and have been thoroughly enjoying it. 8)
