Saw this and thought of 'those days" ... long ago.

I lost the whole year of 1996 to tequila

I still don't know what the Macarena is.

But, don't tell me. I WILL figure it out
Doubt it. It’s not what most think. It involves a flamenco dancer. A lot of alcohol and her ending up in the buff.

That’s right folks that cute dance your little daughters are doing is a drunken striptease.

Some years ago I became acquainted with a gentleman named Benito that was there.

This reminded me of a scene from the TV Show with Charlie Sheen, Anger Management, where his therapist I think sings a song... and I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for it: sorry to those that find it offensive..... but it was a show that starred Charlie Sheen. I wish I could find the actual episode and I'd post it on YouTube... was much funnier in the show.

↑ Great song! I saw the original lineup on their Desperado tour. Sure wish I'd seen them when they reunited in the 90's.

Even better than I thought!!!

About 20 years ago* or more my wife went out of town and I stayed up all night doing tequila slammers (1/2 tequila and 1/2 7up) with my brother and brother in law.. ... sometime around 3 in the morning... and 3/4's of a gallon of tequila between us I realized I had been sitting doing these slammers since 8 the night before and I was not even drunk.... then I got up and the whole damn house was tilted at about a 30 degree angle.

*Edit: I looked it up... it was actually 29 years ago as of last Tuesday!

1965, Juarez Mexico, in a little bar called Copa de Oro. My motorcycle is around the corner in another bar call the "la Posada India" (if we hadn't parked inside both would have been stolen). One large bottle of Jose. My brother had just arrived for advance training at Fort Bliss. I, and my buddy took him and his friend on a trip. Honestly do not remember riding home to my house in El Paso. I had CQ the next day and could hardly make it there. Never drank, at any time, more than one shot of the stuff from that day forward.
