Reloading question regarding .430 diameter bullets

Please could someone help with this question?
Is it okay to use .430 diameter jacketed hollow point bullets when reloading for a Super Blackhawk?
It looks like most bullets are .429 diameter. I have these new .430 diameter bullets and would like to use them if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YES

The 430 bullets will be fine , they will be swaged down to fit as soon as the pressure hits the base !!

WE`re only speaking of a .001" or so & .001" interference fit is `bout standard .

Just follow the rules start at START , ya don`t have to load 50 to see what you`re lookin for ,pressure signs .

My Redhawk likes .431" lead boolits so much I size em .432" !!

Yes, definitely. I haven't reloaded jacketed bullets in mebbe 12 years and routinely load .432" bullets. If these bullets are larger than the forcing cone (more than likely they aren't), the cones would swage the bullet OD easily. Jacketed is harder than lead bullets but still way softer than steel and the added .001" won't have any effect on pressures...

I've actually come to think as a very general rule anyway, that Ruger .44's prefer the .430 jacketed and I use .431 sized cast. It's what fits the chamber mouths the best. A great many people will give you a thumbs up when you mention XTP's. I've got a question myself. What other factory jacketed bullets are .430 ? Any larger ? stevemb
