I just began my journey into reloading 9mm for the sr9c.
I bought a lee turret press classic and have already pumped out a few rounds.

I'm using about 4 grains of IMR 700-x powder with 115 grain winchester FMJ bullets and primers.

Anyone else reloading for their SR9C? I noticed it seems a little finicky with the reloaded ammo.

No problems what so ever. 90% of what is fired through mine are reloads. Only problems have been with the ammo and it was all my fault. Haven't found anything, reloads or factory loads, that mine will not eat.

My buddy and I just started. We are casting our own bullets, as this is the way to get significant savings. Had some bad leading problems. Got a sizer/luber and trying again later today. The casting process is actually pretty easy. Our first reloads weren't very accurate. Not sure if it was the leading problem (most likely), or something else. We are also adjusting our powder load this time around.

Been reloading for my SR9c for 2 and a half yrs now. Fave jacketed load is 115 gr Montana Gold JHP over 6.4 gr Power Pistol.

Been casting for it for a year. I shoot a 140 gr SAECO #383 SWC. It has a long, shallow tapered nose that feeds and chambers beautifully. I size them to .358, use Carnauba Red lube, and never had leading issues. Don't have load data handy. HS-6 and Power Pistol are the powders, I think.

What do you mean by watch the taper crimp? I have it just snug enough that the bullet can twist in my fingers if I try to spin it in its casing, but strong enough that it wont push back in with thumb pressure.

And I don't make my own lead bullets yet. Do I need to be lubing them if I don't?

I checked the Hodgdon web site for 9 mm loads using 700-x powder w/115gr jacketed bullets and your 4.0 gr is right in the middle of the recommended range so you are fine there.

As to the crimp, you want to resize the case mouth to remove any flair the expander die made and have it grip the bullet firmly. The best way to set it is to use a micrometer or caliper and increase the crimp adjustment until the case mouth measures 0.378" - 0.379" with the bullet seated
