From what I understand the grips were not furnished by Ruger, but purchased and added by the RCA.

Is this correct?

If it is, does anyone know who made the grips for the RCA?

Thanks all!

They were made by Eagle Grip and marked India. Also have a red RCA stamp on both sides of the grip. They were made for Ruger by Eagle.
Hope this helps.

This is a good question though....did Ruger put them on or did Ruger ship them to RCA and they put them on?
Ruger has shipped certain models to distributors without grips before. Just curious if this might be another one.

Would Ruger have had to put them on for them to have a "S" in the catalog number? Otherwise, they would just be plain RB-32, no?

Might need to ask Ruger to find out on that. I didn't know they ever had an RB32S catalog number, but looks like that might have only been an RCA designation.
One other thing....to have Ruger put the grips on probably would have been an extra "middle man" charge to the final price of the guns. RCA could have done them much cheaper....But maybe RCA got in the straight RB32 with grips and just took the walnut grips off?
