Howdy, what is your idea of the RAREST of the new model Rugers? I think its the STAINLESS 357/9MM blackhawk! How many people here have one, or more than one? Thanks___bedrockfred

Maybe the hotly debated "Williams" guns?

Regardless, I have a hard time getting excited about any new model but .... that's just me.

i like old model rugers too! but i like stainless more! now if there is a stainless old model?___bedrockfred

The Rarest would be a "One of One"& there a few of them out there: Like the 357 Lightweight serial # KA34 (Images of the KA-34 appear in a post further down in this thread. Incredible Gun, Flatgate). & the New Model 22 Light Weight. J/S

5 1/2 inch stainless blackhawk in 45 colt with xr3-red grip frame. I saw 1 on gunbroker once. In John Taffins book he says there was a stainless 41 mag but he had never seen one.

How 'bout the .41 Magnum NM Blackhawk, Flat Top?...Got one and have not seen another. Rod

I have a one of a kind stainless super with a factory sand blast finish. Figure it is
Pretty rare. :D

As SteveRuger has pointed out,, there are extremely rare ones. But if you get ahold of the RENE reference guide, you will see many models of very low production. W/o me actually studying it,, I'd say the Davidson's edition of the engraved cylinder, gold inlaid short barreled 44 mags with production of less than 200 or so of each in blue or stainless will rank right up there.

My vote would be, the only known (Doc's) Factory Engraved 50th Anni, Flat Top S-456N-50, .44Magnum.

My second would be one of only 5 consecutively made, New Model Flat Tops, S458N-41, .41 Mag. with a "87" prefix, the correct prefix is "48".
All five are in private collections, #87-81576 - 87-81580.

Consecutive pair, "D" prefix, RCA duplicate serial numbered, different barrel lengths, 4 5/8" and a 9 1/2"? How about duplicate serial numbered single cylinder SSR, .22 lr only? Or any of the SSR, "house" or "arrow" marked single sixes? Any of the SSM frame marked .32 single sixes? 10 1/2" Supers, blued and or stainless with the lightweight barrel? I could go on and on...................and I haven't even started into the Maxi's!!    Coogs.

Are those Blackhawks?

Gas, they are all single sixes, I've been into Rugers since '78, displayed "Warning Models", which are New Models in the 80's, rough, agin' all them Old Model, ole' farts! (absolutely said with love, huh, RR???) Coogs.

The one and only stainless .357/9mm Blackhawk convertible with 6-1/2" barrel (KBN-36X) and Liberty rollmarking.
The factory engraved 2 Millionth Blackhawk would be near the tops of my list also.

Posted for SteveRuger. Handling the gun is kinda strange. It looks like a stainless .357
but it's way too light..... :D

That particular model is listed in the 1975 Gun Digest. Price for a .357 or .41 magnum Stainless Blackhawk, $140.00. Don't you wish we had the sense to purchase a bunch of them back then.
