Question On Mini-14 Synthetic Stocks

I've searched and searched and just gave up. I am comparing the models 5850 and 5820 (am going to buy one once I sell my S&W VTAC). The difference I see is one has a flash hider and one does not. However the descriptions state that the 5820 has a synthetic "COMPACT" stock and the 5850 just states that it has a synthetic stock. I found the total length of the 5850 but not the 5820.

My question is: does the 5820 really have a compact stock and is the LOP shorter? Is it different than the stock on the 5850?

I like the flash hider but I also like compact stocks so I am a bit torn. If the stocks really are the same then I'd go with the 5850 with flash hider.

I dont know for a fact, but I would be surprised if the stocks were different. If you like the Flash hider, get that one. Stocks are cheap and easy to swap, having a barrel threaded for a flash hider is not cheap, especially after you then pay additional money to buy a flash hider.

The plastic stocks are shorter than the wooden ones.
