Question about ruger box

I have a ruger blackhawk .41 mag, blued 4 5/8 barrel vintage 1981, I know it will be marked BN 41. Is it the orangeish colored box or the yellow and black? Thanks.

Good question, that s about the transistion from the red(orange? white letters and the yellow ,black end boxes.....whats the serial number (prefix) of your gun?? there's a boxed gun over here numbered #47-277xx in a yellow/black box.........

The Ser# is 46-65xxx

RENE states that the Red hinged box was used through serial number 46-29674. I would thing that you gun was shipped in the yellow/black box. Just my guess though.

Gents: I have a nm blkhk 41 mag 4 5/8 box oraginsh/red with white lettering with manual-warranty. Can you give us the going value in @ 9o% with a corner tear . I have had it put away so long, I forgot how much I paid. (halftimers) thanks greg

I'm getting conflicting info about the box, I was informed from another source it was a red/white box,but as street said according to RENE it would be yellow/black. definately a transition gun. gregs45auto I am interested in the box you have but I don't current values. What would you like for it shipped? Thanks.

Most of the NM boxes like this go for around $25-$40. (Either type.)
