Question about Kodiak grip frame

The grip frame on the Kodiak backpacker looks very similar to the grip frame on S&W n-frame round butt revolvers. Is there any chance that grips might be interchangeable between the two models?

If anyone is wanting different grips for the round butt Redhawk, I would recommend calling Altamont. It's obvious they're making the factory grips on these things. While they don't list the round butt Redhawk as an option on their site, I've had excellent luck calling them for non-cataloged stuff in the past.

I was hoping the Hogue G10 grips for round butt N-frames would fit, but I guess they won't. I'm considering buying a Kodiak in 41 magnum, but I'm not crazy about the grips it comes with.

Give Altamont a call. They've got the CNC program and the tooling for those specific grips. I can't speak for them but I would ask if they can carve up a piece of G10 you supply with their existing CNC program.

No Smith grips are usable on Rugers.
Not without carving, gluing, sanding, cutting, scraping, shaving, sculpting, adding a little here, removing a little there....

I had a Redhawk that someone had rounded the grip frame on prior to me getting it. For load testing I put a standard pair of Pachmyer grips on it and they worked fine. The Hogues dont cover the backstrap, so I doubt they would work comfortably.

I can attest that the Pachmayer grips, both the presentation and the decelerator fit the Kodiak just fine and are very comfortable to shoot with. The top back corner of the left panel on all stock wood Redhawk grips cause me great pain in my thumb. I would love for there to be more options though.
