Prayers needed in Alabama

Please pray for the folks in Lee County, Alabama. A tornado hit and killed about 23 people, including children. I started my law enforcement career with the sheriff's department there and worked with the present sheriff, Jay Jones, when we were both deputies in our early 20s.

They were in my prayers this morning. Having lived through a tornado that destroyed the place my friend and I were in I have a great deal of compassion for anyone involved in one and particularly the families of those that lost their lives.

What a mess... Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims of this series of storms.

Prayers sent. The tornado was an F4 (winds 170 mph), and a mile wide! War zone destruction.

Prayers sent. A couple of smaller tornadoes hit close to my brothers property. Fortunately no damage to his place.

What's even more disturbing to me is the "dozen's" of missing folks.

Until one has experienced a tornado it is hard to imagine all the aspects of that experience. There are things not mentioned that you don't know about until you have been there. They are too many to talk about here. God bless them. Prayers sent.

Horrible destruction and death. I heard there was only about 6 minutes warning before the tornado hit them. AL in our prayers.
