Wasn't there a post here about someone that was making a Ruger Single Action cylinder, who had done a lot of them? I' ve been using the search function and can't find it, and that's when the function wants to work. Often times, it says to search later. Does anyone know where that post is?

Thanks,

Danny

I don't know the specific post, but I find the search function frustrating too. I use google to search and it brings me to a post here that I was looking for. Ed

I believe Hondo had someone on one of his posts, There was a guy in Florida not sure how to spell his name Spegialhalter maybe, He was making them for WFDA

You might find some interesting info in this thread, sticky under Revolver section:

I did not read the sticky above so maybe mentioned there, but Hamilton Bowen at http://www.bowenclassicfirearms.com is one of the main go-to's for cylinders. He can also provide piloted and fluted (or presumably unfluted) blanks for you/your smith to have finished locally in your caliber of choice. I imagine the other top Ruger smiths (Harton, Clements, Gallagher, Reeder, etc) lso can provide - either using Bowen's or making their own for customers.

That's the one! Thanks. I might want to try making my own cylinder sometime.

The person you are reffering to is Lee Martin. He has a website called Single Action Forum. He and his dad have some machinery in their home workshop. This is a hobby with them and they are not for hire.

Thanks for letting me know about the site. I've been going there and got an account as well. That's ok that they don't take on work, I was just looking for hints on doing my own work. I'd like to try making a cylinder myself.
