I was awakened about 4:30 this morning by what I thought was a pine needle hitting my window sill, as there's a tall pine tree next door to us. But in a second or so I realized it was raindrops starting to fall on my window sill as the sound increased. Then it became steadier, a gentle soft rain shower was beginning, and then off in the distance, the gentle rumble of thunder. I just lay there listening to the beginning of morning.
And counted my blessings.
In time, we got up and I fixed breakfast, my sausage and biscuits. After coffee, reading my Bible ( we're trying to read through the Bible in a year, or less.) and newspaper, we went to run some errands, especially to pick up some primers and some JHP bullets.
Then cooked hamburgers on the grill, smoking them with well dampened oak, then a dish of ice cream afterwards.
I am a rich man!
