musical instruments, the most annoying worst sounding?

For me the most annoying is a claranet. My sister had one and just drove me nuts. Now on the other hand, a Saxaphone is still a reed instrument but they sound cool. I played drums in high school band. I pay guitar some and recently took the harmonica back up lately and have been playing it quite a bit. What I loved about the harmonica is I can play it just by ear, not reading music or anything.

Accordion is normally on top of everyone's list, but I don't think there is a single "bad" instrument. Any instrument that's played well can sound good... even an accordion! :)

I've played drums almost all my life. For me, the worst musical instrument sound is the sound of drums that are played poorly.

When she was on America's Got Talent, Simon told her that she'd never go anywhere.

For the record, I like Lindsey with or without the violin.
Elvis and streisand were both told give it up, forget about it, you aint got a chance. So much for professionals and their pronouncements! There are, however, some who will go to their grave agreeing with those long-gone experts!

Human voice strained through an auto-tuner. Flippin' creepy, wholly un-musical and invariably chained to some really insipid AI-sounding "songwriting."
I miss the days of genuine talent and voice.

Autotuned anything is pure crap.

I was sad to see this:

Darrell "Dash" Crofts, the singer-songwriter known for his work in the soft-rock duo Seals & Crofts, has passed away at the age of 87. His family announced that he died from heart failure on March 25, 2026, at the Heart Hospital of Austin in Texas.

It makes me feel old, but then, no one lives forever.
