pistol box colors? Post pictures please.

I have seen a few different color P-Gun boxes around and wondered how many there is and if anyone knows why the different color boxes?

I have Gray small and large or course, also black.
I have seen Green and Red as well but only in pictures.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hey Roy! Like you I have seen the 2 sizes [1 or 2 extra mag slots]of gray and black. However, I do not recall having seen any P guns with green or red boxes. I have owned Talo, lipsey, 50th annv, etc, special run Ruger MKII's that did come in green and red factory boxes, but I have yet to see a P gun in one. Perhaps they were the same type of distributor exclusive and one of only 250 made so I have never seen them. Might be a good question for the collecting forum where folks have access to RENE. I keep wanting to join, but then never do, and then end up wanting the info...that I don't have. :oops:

Courtesy of RENE. I did about a 2 minute quick scan of just a couple of pages and noticed these .....

KP89ID = black plastic case
P89WH = red plastic case with gray foam interior
P95L = green plastic case

My KP90DC, KP91DC and P95DC all came in the more common gray plastic cases.

I've seen a pic of the green case somewhere .... maybe here. Think that one was a Lipsey. Very dark "hunter green" as I remember it. I've also seen a black case ~ think it had gold lettering on a sticker as some kind of limited or special edition.

There's surely lots more info in RENE but I'm outta time.

What does P89WH mean? This is the case I saw on ebay and it went for around 100 bucks.
