Painting the Polymer 10/22 Trigger Body?

I had looked into swapping out the trigger body to stainless to match the barrel/action on a 10/22TD. But, after reading several articles (Kidd, Dr FrankenRuger, et al) it seems like the polymer OEM body is preferred for tune up kits, which is part of the plan as well.

Has anybody painted their trigger body, and care to share the results (pics)?

Thanks!

I've not done a plastic group, but a $6 can of Krylon for plastics might be the ticket. Get the depth you want then use an overspray of plastic coat (Urethane).

Thanks! Will the urethane protect it from solvents and cleaners?

Dunno. I've never used anything but a boresnakey thing on my 10/22s. Maybe a squirt down the barrel, never had to clean the trigger group even after weeks of shooting.

I use teflon RemOil on the trigger group, which I don't know if Krylon is up to it. I may do a tester and see.
