I saw a possible PSP Security Six yesterday. 4" stainless with what I think was the orange insert.
AFAIK the orange insert is unique to PSP Security Sixes.
Looked to be excellent shape, albeit a couple rub marks a gray Scotchbrite will fix.
I'm not too concerned whether it was a PSP gun, just whether someone futzed with it.
Asking $499 not outrageous but I'm thinking $400-$450.
Opinions?

Is it department marked?
I'm guessing not, just that the site insert is a dead give away?

I read somewhere that the orange insert was exclusive to the PSP guns. No idea if that is true or not.
I never understood why Ruger chose the red color they did for the inserts.
It certainly isn't bright.

It's good price whether it's a PSP or not(probably is). For $10 you could get it a Ruger "letter" confirming it. I mailed my letter request for a nycpd Speed Six the same day I sent the seller the payment & I received my letter before the gun arrived.

Yes, I think that's a fair price.
I have a few nosey questions though. Is it a 38 Spl or 357 Mag? Standard or heavy barrel? Full rounded or scalloped recoil shield? Accumulators want to know.
