Got a little problem, maybe not.

I have an older P95, sn 315-66xxx and a newer P95 with the rail, sn 316-62xxx.

I decided to give both barrels a good cleaning at the same time and didn't keep track of the serial numbers they came from.

Are these barrels interchangeable? Is there any way I can tell which slide they came from?

I haven't fired either yet. Both pistols are functioning and locking up smoothly.

So, do I have a problem?

I doubt you have a problem as I don't recall any engineering differences in the barrels of mine (old and new).

As far as I know they are interchangeable. The P95 is an awfully inexpensive gun for the barrel to be fitted and headspaced to an individual slide.

The barrel is headspaced itself, there is no fitting to the frame with tilt barrel designs. Some high end 1911s are modified to fit like that, but the vast majority of them are not.

Thanks for all the feedback. I called Ruger today and one of their techs called back. Great guy. He told me that the barrels are interchangeable and that I would have no problem. A great testament to Ruger's consistency in manufacturing!
