Via valued informed replies it was determined I have a factory stainless High Polish New Model Single-Six made in 1996. Thank you very knowledgeable forum members for your help.. It was also forum noted that the total production of 1996-97 was 3900 which does suggest to me, somewhat rare, certainly exceptional.. In any case I am so very pleased to own this hefty gem beauty, a definite keeper.. I believe with perhaps the exception of the 1955 built display board true nickel single six's, the high polish New Model production is the finest example of exceptional quality factory workmanship and design beauty ever produced by Ruger, a border line work of art..
