I've had these for a while. Haven't shot them yet but plan to once it warms up a bit.
The first pictured has the longer barrel and was made in 1956.
The second pictured was made in 1968 and is virtually unfired in the original box.
Surprisingly good deals when I found them. The 1956 I bought for $150 and the 1968 was $300.

I do have a question: Did the Standard Model ever come from the factory with walnut grips?

Yes, some Standards could be ordered with the factory walnut grips starting in late 1964. This lasted until around 1974.

Congrats on the Standards, they're my favorites. The first 6" standards came out at the end of December 1954, so you have a fairly early one. Looks good too! :)
