I found this in the basement a while back but never really looked at it until today. This belonged to the former resident and still works just fine. In fact, it still has the box it came in from a Sears & Roebuck from Staten Island. I don't know when JC Higgins finally stopped making stuff, but this old cooler is very nice. The inside was very clean and the old cork on the bottom was still in excellent condition. Any idea how old this is?

I had one exactly like it that I carried when I worked on well service rigs in Oklahoma back in high school and college.
My grandma made me a wool felt bag to put it in and early in the morning If you packed it full of ice and then poured in sweet tea, I could be drinking cold tea in the truck on the way home at the end of shift.

Reminds me of my GrandPaps old stainless steal Stanley thermos he carried his coffee in during hunting season. I use it now, along with my Woolrich black/red plaid coat for my retro hunt I do at least once a year.
