Perhaps, but the question is why bother? It's not that cute, too many sharp angles that make it look like a box with a smaller box on top. Even if you did get it running you would have to buy special (and expensive) gasoline for it. Just finding parts would be an adventure not even Dante could fully describe. I'm not trying to dis you I'm just trying to understand why this is such a special find. I mean there are a lot of old cars out in the machinery graveyard that if I understood your reasoning might make me hesitate to allow some OMB to cannibalize for parts.

well first off i would not fix this car. i would pull it out , power wash it + inventory all the crime and parts inside and find it a home with some 1 who would fix it. And take the profit and buy more guns and toys i like. I have a 30x50 shop full of tools but no body left to work with. so now i am the middle man on lots of things to feed me and my wife and gun monkey.

I SEE YOUR around 30 so to try to explainer the why of this car would be like talking sex with a virgin.

I have saved and recycled old things for 30 years and now i live off the experience i have learned.

BUT you have to see everything with open eyes and mind.
1.some one is dieing for a car like that for lots of reasons.
2. the people who have 1 would kill for the parts.
3.its history being recycled.
4.It's cool to be a part of the process.
5.the dealing with people never gets old.

I could go on but WHAT this car makes me like it is i had a 66 coronet 383 4 speed when i was 20 and to tack it up and burn out is something most will never know and i did it several times a day for years and the guy after me did to till he hit a tree. when i was young old stuff never turned me on like new, but now that stuff is old with me.

I would take that coronet out the mile and race it with my friends all day who had 66 mustangs,firebirds.gto, get drunk and go home.wake up the next day and drive it to work. the late 60s to the 80,s was the car yeares for me after that i went to chevy trucks 4x4 .I did do VW thing for 10 years,dune buggys dirt bikes . country living and playing.

I know i didn't float your boat with this post.But a lot of old guys had a flashback when they seen that picture.

I can not write or spell so good, but i see good every where i look. try it and you will feel better. you have to see it not be shown.

Now lets go shoot something.

Sorry Snake, If I say 10 Hail Marys and 10 Our Fathers and do an act of contrition would that help? Car guys are just a mystery to me is all. One ancient came by a few years ago and visited the graveyard and paid more for just the doors and rear end and a few other parts of my great grandfather's old wreck than some new cars cost. (My idiot brother says it's a Packard.) Afterwards Dad scolded my brother for letting the parts go so cheap. (????) I won't even go into Dad's ancient Pontiac that gets every bit of 9 miles per gallon of $11 dollar a gallon gasoline and should be required to wear a g suit when he drives it. I just find it hard to believe that anyone would care that a 389 is better suited to a "six pack" than "dual quads" and especially with a posi track 4-11. I sometimes wonder if it even means anything.

I fully admit that I am beyond understanding the attraction for old cars, this is the why I'm asking for information.

Sorry, but I'm the one that orders the high octane leaded gasoline for that car and records the mileage for the insurance. It gets 9 miles to the gallon. And any vehicle with a loose nut behind the wheel that sees the need to show the vehicle will "do 105 in the quarter" is going to be unsafe. Not even my adrenaline junkie idiot brother will ride with Dad in the thing.

Which begs another question... how is it that a man who will obey every law whether he agrees with it or not can get into one of these old junkers and suddenly decide a speed limit has become a simple interesting suggestion? Let one of the children get a ticket for being eight miles over the limit and it's hand over the driver's license, but when Dad wants to streak down a highway at full throttle it's fine and dandy?

Sorry if I'm coming across as trying to start controversy, it was not my intention. I'm just trying to understand the attraction. There are three generations of cars & machinery back in the "graveyard" that if possibly I had even an inkling might make some other "car folk" happy and give the employee that has to mow around them a bit of a break in his chore. Is the Packard, which from what I've read ended up buying Plymouth as desirable as the Plymouth? Is there someone out there that would see my uncle's old matador with the blown engine as the thing of beauty? Or Gramps' " Rambler? The old Chevrolet out there rusting away looks in about the same shape as the OP's picture. If there is someone out there that would desire it enough to give me the money I desire I just want to know how to spot them.

As for not being "car folk", I live for the day the kinder are grown and I can take the Fiero off the blocks and use it as a vehicle again. But the attraction is economy and it's fun to drive. I wouldn't put the kind of money in it that Dad has his old car.

Just a point mentioned above, you do not need special expensive gasoline for these cars.
Just get the valve seats hardened and you can burn the unleaded stuff.
Watch your compression ratio and you can burn pump gas and make plenty of "g-suit" power.

Back in August, I came real close to paying $40k for "just an old car", just like this one. A fully restored 1968 GTX with 440/4spd.

That car with even a 383 or a 440 would make some noise. Not a lot of those around, at least not the 2 door versions. My grandfather had a Fury III 4 door in 1967 that my uncle used to borrow, had a 383 2bbl in it and he said it would outrun most anything then, and he said it was a nice sleeper, everyone thought it had a 318 in it.
