Old Model Value

I'm trying to get a general idea of the real world value of a 1964 non-prefix old model in .357.
True 99% condition 6 1/2 barrel no blue wear on muzzle and no cylinder line. I also have the box in great condition with no broken corners but no paperwork. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A LGS has a collection of unfired 1960's Blackhawks with boxes and papers, etc. A real collection from a Ruger front-office guy here (retired Prescott). There is a 6.5" blued 357 in true unfired condition with complete stuff tagged at $799 retail.
Too high for my shooter habits (but I'm about to snap on a different one).

I'd detract a bit for a fired gun but still a nice gun from the description. Hard to find when you're looking.

FYI A ring on cylinder on old model Ruger single action is the result of improper handling by owner or previous owners.

A lot of us here remember pre-internet days when there was no email and no digital pics. There was the GunList. I have bought several OM Rugers off the late Lynn Laudis because He always had an ad and stuff I could not buy locally. There were seldom ever pics and when an ad had them they were the old black an white grainy pics. All guns were sold by description only and most had a grade percentage. I never bought a gun off GunList that I thought overlygraded. Many, many guns have been sold with no pics. No argument here, digital pics have made buying lots better but I never had issues before. Most on this site are more qualified to place a value on OM Rugers than I, which is why I did not place a value on said pkg.

I agree with 'satcom' around here the gun , mint shape we see in the $475 to $550 range and add the value of the box, at around $120-125, shorter boxes worth more...we got a MINT ,99% 357 flatop today for UNDER $500......ssoooooooooo, one never knows and my friend bought a 10" 44 flatop, in the box, numbered to the gun for UNDER $2500 this morning,,,,,again, they are out there 8) :roll: :wink:
