I'm not sure what to say about this bearcat. I've owned it since the early 80's and never fired it because I've never seen one like it. It is high polished and has Stag grips. The finish is done so well you would think it was reblued. The thing is all the roll markings don't show that. I do not believe the stag grips are original but they look really nice. $475 shipped to your ffl prefer PMO. Thanks for looking Looks like the first picture has some kind of flash, that it caught. Nothing actually there as you can see in the other picture.

My understanding is the Super Bearcat is all steel barrel, cylinder and frame. If that's the case, this is a Super according to my refrigerator magnet. Actually Contender confirmed that it is but all the other stuff is not as good as the serial number that proves it.

Allow me to stick my nose in this discussion.

I have seen this revolver first hand. The finish is very unique. The color is not unlike black chrome, but I see no evidence of a refinish. Couple this with the stag grips and I think this is a bargain, either as a shooter, or to add to someones collection. It's certainly a piece that would require some discussion if it was on a display table.

WAYNO.
