What calibers were the old model 3 screw Blackhawks chambered?
Most/lest calibers ever made?

.357 Flattops, Just over 42,000
.357 "protected sight" 245,000
.30 Carbine, almost 33,000
.41 Magnum, just over 40,000
.45 Colt, 23,000
VERY interesting and thought provoking. I do believe the low production for the OM 45COLT sixguns is due to their being in production only two years before the NM blackhawks were introduced. I am stunned by how many OM 30CARBINE's were sold [ in 19 years ] as a Ruger guy once told me "we can't give the damn things away, we'll probably drop it."
.44 SBH, 106,000
.44 Flattops, almost 30,000

I agree with what you say 100%.Ale-8(1) said:I'd say they are chambered specifically to accept the .44 Rem Mag, but just happen to accept the Special and Russian rounds.
Same with the .357 Mag-chambered guns that just happen to accept the .38 Specials and perhaps some others.
And the 327 Mag that happens to accept .32 H&H and others.
Etc.

1970, 500, some disagreement about if they were actually shipped ==> they shipped, in December 1970. I have a number of them.
1971, about 12,700
1972, about 8600
1973, about 1200, yes they were late-shipped ==> the last one shipped in August, 1973. The latest one I have in my collection currently is May, 1973, with a couple in April, 1973.
Thank you Mr. Dougan.
