My LG just took in a Bearcat with a5 digit Sn starting with 18xxx. It looks almost new, very light ring and no holster wear has the box and papers and a red pouch that the gun fits in. Does anyone know if the pouch is OE or not? No price yet as it has to wait 10 days untill it can be sold. Any idea what a reasonable price would be for this?

Did you mean a pouch that would protect one of the cylinders? Ruger did not produce
a pouch for the entire gun.

No, the red pouch is not factory. Early Bearcat, boxed with papers will bring about $400.00 in these parts. It should have a steel ejector rod housing and grips without the medallions. Also have a close look for a " S " stamped forward of the trigger guard as a few in this serial number range were sold as seconds . Made in 1962.

The 10 day is a city of Glendale law that they have to send in a pawn slip and check the serial number. The red pouch fits the whole gun, it must be something the original owner had made, it sure dosent look homemade. The grips are wood without medalions, and there is no s on the front of the trigger guard.
