I took a picture recently I thought some of you might enjoy. These are two old model .44 magnums. The top one is a Super Blackhawk, produced in early 1973, just before the changeover to the new transfer-bar models. The lower one is a flat top .44 mag Blackhawk with original factory stag grips, vintage of 1957. These are two of my favorite Rugers.
By the way, if you subscribe to Dillon's Blue Press catalog/magazine (subscriptions are free - call 1-800-223-4570), the October issue contains an article I wrote on the Ruger plant in Prescott, Arizona, complete with numerous pictures of their production lines.
