old model 41 mag question??

i recently picked up an old model 41 mag, in great condition. It came with the box, and original owners manual. My question is regarding the box. At what point is the box "worthless". the box i have is pretty rough with the corners opened, but it's all there and legible. Just curious if it's worth haning on to/storing.

yes, the original box is about as good as it gets, THEN its "condition"..as for the box itself, it can be repaired try and stay away from any and all "tapes", and with out "seeing" can not tell you just what needs to be done...pictures would help, there are guys here on the forum that can make it "pretty again for you.................

i'll try to snap some pictures of the box and post it. I'm afraid somebody beat me to the tape option..but the gun sure is sweet, and picked it trade for cheap.

omg, i think this thing hits harder than my super blackhawk 44mag....different grips still available for these old models?
